For the last 39 years, I have been conducting research in automatic control and robotics. Through a combination of sustained effort, outstanding collaborators, and a measure of good fortune, I have obtained several results recognized by the international control theory community. A control methodology I developed is referred to in the literature as Bartoszewicz’s reaching law. I have been included among the world’s top 2% of scientists in all editions and categories of the Stanford University and Elsevier ranking, and among the top 0.5% of scientists worldwide in the ScholarGPS classification. My publication record comprises 370 publications, including 3 authored monographs, 6 edited monographs, and 106 papers published in journals with an impact factor (IF).
In 2016, I was elected a Corresponding Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and have since been involved in service to the Academy. I currently serve as President of the Lodz Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a member of the Presidium of the Academy, Chairman of the Committee on Automatic Control and Robotics, and a member of the Chapter of the PAS Nicolaus Copernicus Medal. Previously, I served for eight years as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Automatic Control and Robotics and for four years as Vice-President of the Lodz Branch of PAS. Outside the Academy, I am currently a member of the Scientific Excellence Council and of the Collegio dei Docenti at the Università degli Studi di Pavia. In previous years, I was also a member of the European Control Association and the General Council for Science and Higher Education, and served as Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements.
Below, I present my professional and academic profile and warmly invite opportunities for collaboration.
Yours sincerely
Andrzej Bartoszewicz
